JILL BONDY PEÑA, PRESIDENT

Jill has been actively involved in the meetings and incentive travel industry for 29 years.  Prior to starting Current Events, Inc., she was employed by one of the largest incentive travel companies in the U.S. and had managed events on behalf of high-profile clients such as, Sprint, CBS TV, Fox TV and IBM.  Known for her creative event concepts, extensive destination and hotel knowledge, negotiating skills, and strong supplier relationships, she has a loyal fan club of clients and hotel partners who appreciate the energy and humor she brings into her work.  She's passionate about travel, music and Orangetheory Fitness, and isn't afraid to bust out a funky tune or a slick move if that's what it takes to win you over.  When she's not entertaining clients, you'll find her enjoying her weekends with her friends and two awesome sons, Skye and Jesse.

TIM CLARKE, ASSOCIATE, SITE SELECTION

Tim has worked in the travel industry for the last 30 years.  His past employers include United Airlines and a few of the top travel management companies in the U.S., such as Travel Leaders, Rosenbluth and TravelStore.  He ran the employment gamut as an Onsite Agent, Meetings & Incentives Associate, Corporate Account Manager & Online Technical Manager; and has managed travel programs for many notable clients, such as Quiksilver, Red Bull, Oakley, Geffen Records, Edison International, ARCO, and UpperDeck Trading Cards.  We look forward to welcoming Tim's many contacts as clients!  When Tim isn’t busy working, he enjoys traveling with his wife, or visiting their three grown children.  He is also an outdoorsman who enjoys camping, skiing and just about any motorsport, and can often be found out in the desert, cruising in one of his off-road toys.

SHAWN LEWELLYN, VP, GLOBAL SALES

Shawn has worked in the travel industry for over 25 years.  She started off working for her uncle’s agency, Omnisphere Travel, booking air, car, and hotel reservations/tickets for corporate and leisure clients, including group travel for the entertainment industry.  From there, she moved over to Sundance/TraveLeaders as a Corporate Agent where she managed travel for multiple clients.  With that said, her fondest employment memories have to be her 14 years with Oakley Inc., where she managed their Global Travel and Meetings & Incentives departments, sourcing and implementing around 40-50 meetings each year.  This is where Shawn’s expertise as a former buyer and meeting coordinator will shine.  She understands your needs.  She was previously a top client of Current Events, and we are so very excited to have her on board!  Although a California girl at heart, Shawn currently splits her time between Central Oregon and Orange County, CA, where she was born and raised.  When she isn’t busy working, she enjoys traveling with her husband and visiting their three grown children and two grandchildren.

JENNE CUNDALL, VP, GLOBAL EVENTS

Jenne has been planning boardroom meetings, galas and everything in between for the past 20 years.  Currently in charge of Current Event's full-service event management division, Jenne is a one-stop shop, handling everything event-related from start to finish.  Her existing clients range from international conglomerates to small business owners and private parties.  Prior to joining Current Events, Jenne was the Director of National Events for Grubb & Ellis Company, managing and producing a wide range of more than 150 events a year.  During her tenure, Jenne was a loyal customer of Current Events, working closely with Jill.  Together, they leveraged relationships, strategized logistics and contracted with hotels all over the world.  Jenne has a unique ability to take her clients’ visions and transform them into a reality that exceeds all expectations.  Her extraordinary level of innovation, imagination and attention to detail are unparalleled.  When she is not utilizing her creative talents on the work front, she is using them to finger paint, color and bake cookies with her daughters, three-year-old Jeneva and two-year-old Romi Lu.
